Lipase
ZA Biotech is on the road to producing the Lipase that is simply the best. It is stable at high temperatures, in organic solvents, at high pressures and resists stirring in reactors. Activity >500U/g.
Our Lipase is sourced from the fungus, Candida Antarctica. It hydrolyses fats (triglycerides) to form glycerol and free fatty acids. It is a Lipase B, thus the term CALB.
Lipases are used by a wide variety of processes in the chemical, pharmaceutical, brewing, baking, detergent, textile and leather industries.
Our Lipase is available in free or immobilised formats. SphereZymes™ is our patented immobilisation technology.
